For starters, I FINALLY saw an entire Trivium set!
This is the 4th time I've been to a show with Trivium in the lineup. Somehow, I always show up 10 minutes before they finish. This time, I caught their entire set and it was tremendous. Crazy dueling guitar solos, vocals both guttural and melodic, thunderous drums, and ball-crushing bass. Trivium was a GREAT start on the main stage.

Next up was Megadeth. Despite being a 40 year-old metal head who goes to LOTS of shows, I had never seen Megadeth before. Dave Mustaine, Dave Ellefson, and company brought the storm as I knew they could. It was great to hear Hangar 18, Wake Up Dead, Symphony of Destruction, and Peace Sells - along with some of their lesser-known tunes. The only detraction from their set was some sound issues that were fixed by the time they finished their second or third song.
Godsmack was up third. I've seen them four times now, and they always kick my ass. They were as crunchy, raw, and powerful as ever. The band was tight through every song, and I was very surprised to see the pyro effects that they brought to a festival show. Sully Erna got behind a second drum kit for a four-handed drum duet as usual. And. . . it rocked as always.
Disturbed finished the show in true head-banging style. They're my 3rd favorite band - only behind Iron Maiden (Up the Irons!!) and Queensryche. My 5th Disturbed show, and it never gets old. The music is always perfect and David Draiman is an absolute master of his vocals.
Rockstar's Mayhem Festival always brings a great show. They outdid themselves this year.

This was my very first concert. I was blown away!! I love Distrubed and Godsmack and they wowed me. The side bands were amazing as well. I can't to see another Mayhem Festival!!

When we arrived some people were sitting in our seats, so had to make them leave. They did-no problem! Godsmack could of played a little longer. Disappointed with Megadeath.

Positive: The bands were excellent! thoroughly enjoyed the show. Great marks for the lineup and bands. Godsmack and Disturbed were awesome.
The venue is very nice and good selection of vendors
Negatives: didn't receive my shirt or gear that i purchased with the VIP package.
Food is pricey and long lines.

It was a good time, but not very much moshing!? UNEARTH and HATEBREED on the side stages, and the pits were pretty weak. Still had amazing performances by the bands though! I can't wait til next year!

Megadeath and Godsmack was the only good bands there and Disturbed was just plain awful...I had a great time with the person with me but to say the least the cost of drinks were outrageous and mind you it was 102 degrees at a all day event and with water $5.50 and beer at $11.00 who could not just be miserable and thirsty. Would never go see Disturbed unless they are with a band I really wanted to see.

I cannot judge the entire festival since we got there at the end of the Megadeth set, however, the only reason we came to the show was to hear Godsmack and they did not disappoint. The amazing songs, the high energy and especially, the unbelievable dual drum solo between Shannon and Sully just made the entire festival. Disturbed should have played before Godsmack. Disturbed has some good songs, but they cannot compare. I just sat through their show. All in all, it was fun and worth checking out. I just wish Godsmack would get out of playing festivals, headline their own show and play A LOT longer!

The show was amazing. The two side stages were raging all day, and we really liked the opening local band. It's always great to find new metal to listen to.

It was amazing, but I expected nothing less from the big 3 headliners. Trivium put on a great show. If you haven't seen them, I highly recommend it. They will be opening for Dream Theater in October. The metal on the second stage slammed, and the metal mulisha were baller

By far the best concert I went to this summer, Godsmack was wildly entertaining. Suicide Silence put on an amazing show and I got to chat with them, at the signing booth and by the parking lot after the show. Even tho the singer has a voice of a demonic god, he was a really chill dude. I also got a nice piece of ass, long live metal concerts and their 8$ miller lite cans! Unfortunately there were some negative aspects, and was about my favorite band, In Flames. They played unbelievable music, but not nearly enough for being the last band on the side stage. Not to mention they didn't seem to have much love for Pittsburgh in general, as they weren't that into it. Love their music and everything, and I hope they return to Pittsburgh again so we can show them the praise they deserve, and maybe they'll return the love next time..

Although the day was extremely hot and sweaty, the concert was well worth the sweat. The smaller stages rocked pretty good.
Trivium sound was awesome and I'm glad I got to see them on the big stage.
Megadeth is so old.... But the classics they have will never go out of style.
Godsmack, seen them their 2nd concert of the tour and they still had as much energy during this concert as they did at that time.
Disturbed.... SUCKED....

The spirits and atmosphere was unforgettable. I would recommend this event to anyone that asked. This is not the first Mayhem show that has been great, all that I have been to were outstanding!

I was frusted with the fact that the security gaurds at the front entrance has a different policy on what was allowed to bring in than what was posted online and at the entrance. It is a two mile walk from the parking lot and is frustrating when you get turned around at the gate to take back items that were not posted as prohibited. I made sure to check the website for this venue for resticted items, and it said that blankets were authorized. The sign on the walk way in did not say anything about them not being authorized either. But once at the front enterance, I was turned around and told I could not bring it in. The rules should be the same across the board, and if there is to be an exception, it needs to be made clear before hand. I felt like the guards we just changing the rules because they can.

Godsmack was by far the best show of the night. It was worth roasting in the hot sun all day just to see to them play. The show rocked and kicked ass in more ways than one!!!

Firstoff, I'm in a wheelchair. I only care to see Disturbed and Godsmack. I always have to arrive early to any concert just to get handicapped parking as I have a rampvan. I pull into the parking lot and 75% of it is barricaded off and ALL the handicap spots too!! By the photo you can see how unnecessary this was. This lot only filled up about 1/4 with ppl. at the height of the day. I had to park about 30' back from where I took this pic. and luckily found a corner spot as no handicap spots were designated.
Megadeth was pretty good. I give big props to Dave Mustaine for showing up as he hurt his voice previously but didn't want to let the crowd down. Godsmack announced that they were going to not use any pyro and just jam. I was disappointed in hearing that as their pyro is the best! They ended up kicking ass even without it!! A bit of a letdown was all the shortened sets due to too many bands. Godsmack and Disturbed barely played an hour each.
Disturbed finished the show and was kind of a letdown. Even using all their pyro, Godsmack made them look silly. I did enjoy Disturbed and they sounded great as always but they, nor should ANY band headline in front of Godsmack!! Big mistake! It was 95 this day and even tho' it was 10 pm. when Disturbed came on, the venue turned the huge overhead fans off! Seriously? It was atleast 95 under the canopy at the reserved seats. I had to roll outside to get some fresh air at the end of their set as it was virtually unbearable. Real smart Lakewood, real smart! Tried to find a contact number online for the venue to express my thoughts about parking and the fan situation but couldn't..
