I was looking forward to this show since I learned it was coming to town. Anxious to hear first hand how the music and vocals of Led Zeppelin would combine with an orchestra. Obviously for songs such as Kashmir it was a natural. But the two jelled perfectly the entire program. The 27 members of the Corpus Christi orchestra chosen, more used to playing Prokofiev or Sibelius than these masterful arrangements, met the test with gusto. I wondered several times what they were thinking. Was this simply a nice diversion for them, or was their inner rocker being brought out before us? I believe it was the latter. As for the band members, the perfect bridge between band and orchestra was the young lady who played a mean electric violin. She rocked that thing out. The bass player laid down a solid foundation much like Jones himself. The drummer, beat for beat, met the Bonham challenge especially on the extended solo on Moby Dick, cowbell included. As for the guitar player, where do I start? His riffs were out of this world. I believe if Jimmy Page has seen this act on tour somewhere, he smiled. Finally, I never believed that there could ever be another who could match the vocal range and intensity of Robert Plant. Randy Jackson is that guy. Played a solid 12 string as well, both acoustic and electric. All in all, an excellent show that did not disappoint whatsoever.

Favorite moment: At one point Randy Jackson invited an audience member onstage to guest conduct for Brent Havens. This young lady was perfect for Dancing Days. @
Setlist: The typical list of expected Zep standards. However, one personal favorite of mine missing was Rock and Roll. @
