This was my first Avett Brothers concert. I've loved their music for years and heard how great they are live. This show was AMAZING! Due to the high energy performance, Scott had to frequently tune his banjo, and the crowd would wait in joyful anticipation, hanging on the next note, wondering which song would be played next. Being part of the jumping, clapping and audience sing-alongs added to the fun. The show was sold-out, to the surprise and humble gratitude expressed by the band and looking out over Chastain--you could see people standing on rooftops to get a look. Bottom line--believe the hype. To say the Avett Brothers are great live performers is an understatement. This show was among my Top 5 All-Time favorite concerts. I'm hooked on Avett Brothers and I go see them whenever they get even close to Georgia. They're worth the drive!

It is so good to see some truly talented, original! new musicians. they are among the best of their generation.top of the line professional musicians with tons of charisma! Fantastic original music work and their energy and dedication to the audience is some of the best I have ever seen ....and I have seen many since my first live concert in 1972...

I still consider myself a relatively new fan. Up until yesterday I only owned 3 of their CD's. I learned of them less than a year ago and in that time I have seen them twice in concert. They never let me down. They play with both awesome energy and emotion. I highly recommend going to see them anytime they play near you. And also I highly recommend their CD Carolina Jubilee if you don't have it.

I HIGHLY recommend if you have the chance to see these guys in person to make sure you do!! The show was awesome! Their energy is amazing, and a very appreciative group of musicians. The whole place was dancing, bobbing heads to the beat and singing along to their songs. We were fortunate enough to go to a "meet and greet" at Halo Bar beforehand. Each one of them extended their hand and shook ours and thanked US. WOW! What a great group of musicians and great people!!

This was my first time to see the Avett Brothers, but I can guarantee that it will not be the last. Being a recent newcomer to the band, I was very familiar with the songs performed off the new album. I wasn't prepared for was the quality of the rest of the show. There was not a bad song in the set. I liked everything so much that I purchased their entire catalog from I-Tunes last night. The music and energetic performance by the band kept my attention all night. I also enjoyed the fact that the band gave the energy to the crowd who turned it right back to the band. You could see that the band enjoyed playing for the crowd, and was most appreciative of the love and support that it provided. It was raised to the next level. I can only imagine what the shows at the Ryman Theater in Nashville will be like. It would definitely reach the spiritual level...Thanks for sharing!

The Avett Brothers sound true to their recordings, yet better when live. Their stage movements are fun to watch. Their between-song instrument-swtiching is smooth and quick-paced, which I appreciate. I would love to see them in an outdoor venue.

Grace Potter and the Nocturnals started the show off with so much energy it was hard to believe it could get much better after that! Her dreamy, dark, and lead-singer of Heart-esque voice put a trance over the crowd. Also, the band was very dynamic and every musician had a chance to showcase their incredible talent and creativity throughout their set. Best opener I've seen in a long time!

I've seen the Avett Brothers before and every performance is unique, heart-warming, and fun. One thing I liked was that they played a variety of their songs and did not push their new album too much. It is amazing to me how they can go from a heart-wrenching and soul-touching acoustic piece like "Murder in the City" and then counter it with a complete jam session on another song. They put a lot of forethought into their setlist and wowed the crowd yet another time. Overall awesome show!!!!!!

It was a weird experience seeing the Avett Brothers at the Pageant. I don't ever remember being stunned at a concert. All I could think about while watching and listening was, "these guys are unbelieveable!" I've never before been so completely overwhelmed by a concert. The Avett Bros. are beyond great!!

I wrote a long heart felt review and it got deleted. So, here's the short version.
Best new band in a decade. Awesome performance! Good lyrics, lots of energy, spontaneous, fun!

I like that the Avets are professional and talented and are NOT wasted when they play on stage. They are professionals who have a lot of fun onstage and the crowd stood up and danced the entire show.

Their performances are up there with Springsteen, The Grateful Dead, Rolling Stones---seriously. Really enjoyed ourselves and now I am listening to Avett Bros nonstop.

I have been wanting to see the Avett brothers for a long time and they did not dissapoint. Brandi Carilile was also unbelievable. Plus there is no better venue than Chastain.

The Avetts always amaze! Their energy is uplifting an inspiring. The one thing that I can say (which is no fault of theirs) is that the sound seemed to disconnect or mess up a few times. I noticed this when I saw them at the Fox Theatre as well. As I said, I was still impressed and entertained. Thank you, Avetts! I will continue to follow.
