I had never seen B.B. in concert before. Was my first and hopefully will not be my last. He was so amazing. Even in his years he can sure rip on his Lucille! I had a great time and enjoyed the show. That is why they call him the King Of Blues!

I have seen BB King many times and always love the show. And it truly is more than sets of music or a concert...it is a show! But the reality is that at 83 BB is not able to give the kind of performance he did even 6 or 7 years ago. He mentioned early on that he was having some voice trouble and probably talked more than he sang on this night. The stories are fun to a point, but people to hear him sing and play. Probably the last time I will pay to see a true American legend...

I have seen BB King four times over the years. The first time was a very small private show about 16 years ago. The second was at Madison Blues Festival with a STUNNING Jeff Beck. I saw him with Kenny Wayne Sheperd and Joe Bonamassa in St. Louis at La Meure Sculpture Garden. Finally, I saw him in Omaha the day after Eric Clapton played. Each time, the ravages of time have reduced BB to a shell of the man who did more to expand the audience of blues music than anyone. We knew he was going to be a disappointment during that last show but we were hopeful that Eric would do a special appearance because he wasn't scheduled in Kansas City until the following day and we thought the extra day in Omaha was a sign that he would join BB on stage. No such luck. Spend the money on a DVD of his younger days OR spend it on some blues festivals this summer.
