Attended my third RHH concert and I was just as impressed as the first time I saw them preform. Would like to them to preform deeper into their catalouge though. It was almost the same set as last time minus the X-mas music.
The middle act "Back Yard Tire Fire" was a suprise! The opening acts I have seen with RHH usualy are forgetable.
RHH covered "The Ace of Spades" with the anouncement they will be opening for Motorhead in Houston sometime soon!
I recommend The Reverend to any one that enjoys live music and technicaly sound musicians.

First, Backyard Tire Fire were GREAT. More rock than billy, but that was fine. They were an excellent band and I will hunt them down soon. Really liked their set.

Rev Horton Heat were spot on. Excellent show. They played a good mix of familiar and new songs, plenty of rocking and energy, great crowd (except for a handful of moshpit douches), good venue. Really an excellent show. Better than I expected. I have listened to RHH for a couple years, but would not consider myself a big fan, I like what I've heard, but don't have a ton of albums. I was impressed. My wife is a huge fan from her years in the rock-a-billy scene in L.A. We went for her birthday and we both had a blast.

The venue was great. Never been to the House of Blues for a show before, but we will go back. That place was great. Just small enough, but plenty of room. And the AC was kickin!

The Reverend Horton Heat put on a good show. They played several new songs that sound great. They're working on a new album that should be out this year so I along with other Rev fans will be stoked to pick up the new album. The performance was right on. Nothing disappointing about their show....they kick butt. I was surprised to see that there was plenty of room....guess a Sunday night show will do that. The Rev kicks butt!
