What can I say? It was a great show! Hamell on Trial was spontaneous and energetic and rocked the house with his high-spirited humor and deep-reaching odes against hate crimes and stupid kids. Seeing Ani was a gift. Each time I go to one of her shows, I go through a pre-show emotional roller coaster, followed by a post-show introspective journey that is joyous and painful at the same time. Her songs make me think about who I am, what I'm doing, what I've done, and where I want to be.

I've been going to Ani shows since 1996. My first show was the Reading Festival in Reading, England in July 1996. She's had my attention from the sound-check of that show until today. Sometimes, I feel her music flow through me like a ghost of my past. Other times, her songs carry me forward through time into my dreams, dreams of being free, of standing tall, of being part of a movement to change the world, and heal our divisions; a future made of happiness and serenity.

Indianapolis, IN on April 29th was another one of those rare moments in time when the whole world is on hold while the lessons of the ages come through loud and clear so that when we pick up again, we have a better idea of where we all stand, and of what the possibilities of our lives amount to.

I've always loved Ani shows. She's an inspiration to me. I've never experienced anything quite like the first drop on the world's tallest roller coaster that is "Both Hands", or the dreamy "Garden of Simple" that takes me to that place, where it's just us. I can imagine these things today. I can dream. And I can keep moving on because she shows me that it's possible.

Thanks for a great show, for caring, and for giving me the opportunity to start talking about it again.

I'm at work, so I gotta go. :)
