I attended the concert on Sunday night in Raleigh. I was very disappointed when I arrived and found out that there were no cameras allowed. (Thanks to the people who have been video everything.) Thinking that I was doing the correct thing, I checked my camera in at Guest Services like I was told to do. What do I find when I get to my seat? There were 2 girls on the row in front of me with a camera. After Lady A performed, I made a trip to the rest room and did my duty and reported it to a person with a yellow "Event Staff" shirt on. I noticed her walking up and down the aisle a couple of times, but no one ever came over and said anything to them. In the mean time, I noticed 2 other people with cameras. One of them was a "professional" type camera, and he was carrying it around in his hand and no one was saying anything to him. He had nothing that he could have hid it in to get through the gate. By the time that Kenny took the stage, I counted at least 7 cameras within 5 rows of me. I enjoyed Kenny Chesney, but would have liked to have been able to take pictures to remember the night by. I have been to a least one concert every year for the last 10 years, and this will be the only year I don't have any pictures to remember it by.
If you are going to have a policy prohibiting something, then make sure that no one gets through any of the gates with it, or have the staff that will enforce the policy.

Personally, i love this venue. I dont drink so i dont care about beer prices. when i went they gave me a voucher for the chair i brought for a free rental but you dont need it, the grass is nice. I must admit they dont quite bring in the top notch bands like they used to but the allman brothers/widepsread panic was amazing. Nobody should complain about beer or chairs, just kick back and listen to the music. This being said im not a big fan of large venues, i like clubs a whole lot more but if you want to see a big band you must go a large venue, and large venues dont come much better than walnut creek.

I and several other family members drove 3 hours to come to this show. This was my first time going to an amphitheater so I was excited to see the place. But after one disappointment after another my excitement turned into total disgust.
We bought the lawn seating tickets and the website said you could bring your own lawn chairs and umbrellas. What it didn't tell you was that there were size restrictions on these items. At the gate we were told our chairs and umbrellas were too big and we had to leave them with guess services. Too big? What a crock. These were normal size items. Once we got in we had to rent "their" lawn chairs for an extra $5.00 per chair.
The show was supposed to start at 2:00 p.m. We had gotten there a little after 1:00 p.m. and we sat in the baking NC sun waiting for the show to start. The show didn't start until 3:30 p.m.!! I can understand a slight delay but an hour and a half come on now!
The first act out was Monica. I was familiar with some of her music and was willing to give her a chance to do her thing. She didn't have a band. She performed to tracks. I am being kind to say what she did was a performance because it really wasn't. She would start a song, sing a couple of verses and stop and start talking. Start a song, stop, start talking. She was more interested in promoting her new reality show then putting on a competent stage performance. I don't think I will be watching her tv show or buying any of her music. I was not impressed.
End of part 1

The only reason I gave it 1 star is because they had one act that was worth paying ANY money to see. Charlie Wilson was a true sportsman and came out to perform like the entertainer he is. Monica was a hot mess, Ginuwine was just that - a genuine whiner! Kept talking about he wasn't getting paid and he shouldn't have gotten paid for that performance! His back up singers could have done the show without him. I don't know who those others clowns were. Doug E. Fresh and those old dudes on stage with him could have jumped back on the bus and went home. I didn't even stay long enough to see if Chaka Khan was going to do anything because by then, I was through! Waste of time and money, except for Uncle Charlie. You keep on doing your thing, bad boy! You're a true entertainer and I would have paid just to see you had I known you put on such a good show. Don't sell yourself short, you should be the headliner on any show you perform in. Made Ginuwine look like an uncouth thug on the corner with his boys!! You blow Uncle Charlie!!

I must say I was very dissapointed! First of all, 1. NO CAMERAS were allowed, so after being almost strip searched, were told we couldn't take our cameras inside. After standing in the long line,we had to hike back to our vehicle and secure cameras! Get Back inline again 2. The information page says NO Umbrellas.....Wrong....they were there too. 3. No chairs over certain size....wrong....large chairs were seen inside 4. The ridiculous price of the food and beverages, $11 for a $1.69 beer, $4.00 for a $1,29 bottle of water. After getting inside and seeing camera flashes going off and people walking around with them hanging from their neck, out in plain view,,,,what gate did they go thru?? I've paid my last hard earned money to get in Walnut Creek, and possibly last to see Kenny Chesney...He, like the rest of artist have gotten rich off our hard earned money, and not have the chance to take a picture of what we spent our money on....come on people...thats just wrong

I attended the concert last night with my daughter and was more than disappointed..not at the show, but at the environment. Be ready to be mobbed by drunks and choked by the constant flow of cigarette smoke. We went early to get a nice spot on the lawn and we enjoyed the first part of it. But then people started coming out of the wood work encroaching upon our space, falling on us, standing in front of us, spilling beer on us....what kind of family environment is this? NONE. I have apologized over and over to my daughter for subjecting her to this environment. If you have any class at all, you do not want to be caught up in this zoo of a place. There is no divisions among families and drunks and I will not be returning. What a waste of time it was and a real eye opener to how I really want to raise my children and what they will be subjected to.

The night began with a 3/4-mile hike from parking to the front gate. After standing in the gate line for 15-20 minutes, they inform us you cannot take in chairs, umbrellas, or cameras. The staff directs us to guest services. At guest services, I question the camera policy, as I had read before leaving that non-professional cameras were allowed. The worker replied, "It was a last minute decision to ban all cameras." I proceeded to check the lawn chairs, camera, and umbrella in and proceed to enter. Once back at the gate, I was nearly strip searched, including having to remove my ink pen for inspection. Finally, after making it in, I notice that beers are priced from $8-12. Waters run a cool $4, which is a bargain for this place. After locating a plot on the lawn, it was clear that the concert was over-crowded and out of control. Nearly every one was heavily intoxicated, including many minors. After being tripped on, stepped on, and showered with beer, I decided to pack it up and leave. I do not plan to return to this venue.

Worst Even that I've been to. First they strted almost 1.5 hours late. Thwn Monica came out and did her thing, she was great. Then down hill from there. They kept promising us Ginuwine and Music Soulchild, they didn't come out. Instead they had a few local bands come out and perform which was cool, but we paid to see the people that was actually in the program. After the DJ played for a few hours, a few music games and the $10 beer, $16 mixed drinks and $4 waters... they came out and told us the performers wasnt paid for the show and wouldn't get on stage. It was about 4-5 hours later when one of the performers came on stage and told us again that he was doing this for free and he doens't know what's up with the RnB act (Music, Ginuwine, Charlie, Shaka etc.) then finally about a hour after that Ginuwine came on stage and did his thing, which I personally expected more, then Charlie came out and did his thing... As you may already know he was awsome. Overall this was the worst experience I've had at a concert and this was the first time I've ever been to one so.....

First off Alan and Josh were good. very plain, but worth the money. My main concern is the parking. i get charged to park in a mudhole? as much money as everyone spends on all these concerts....pave the place. plus my daughters had to see plenty of drunk men peeing in the open woods. but i guess the worst of it all is the HIGH prices of food and drinks. i always stop and eat at a resturaunt befor i get there. 4 people can eat out for less than 4 pretzels at this place. i mean 11$ for a beer? 4$ for a small bottle of water? this is suppose to be a family outing, please lower everything so we can enjoy the shows even more. who knows, you might just make more money if more people are buying.
